About the Artist

Picking up my paint brush is the place where I find peace and empowerment. It’s where I feel I’m fulfilling what God created me to create.

My artwork is my story— my journey through humanity, womanhood, & motherhood.

Creation is my form of resistence; my way of fighting fear.

  • Born & raised in Philadelphia and the youngest child in every way.

  • Aly graduated from Penn State University in 2015 with degrees in advertising, photojournalism, & painting.

Her undergradute focus was in portraiture oil painting. Expressive line work has been her signature since she first began art classes at 14.

  • Writing & storytelling are so strongly woven into my art because they are so strongly woven into me. Writing was the first form of artistic expression I found. It was my english teacher that walked me down to the art room & introduced me to a sketchbook.

I believe good art can be found everywhere, but great art tells a story.

  • My faith, my marriage, and my children have all changed my life & my art for the better. Creating is a part of my life that feels innate, it’s part of me I can’t function without.
