Heaven Sent, Vol. I & II

A painting of lemons was central to my grandmother’s kitchen for 25 years. It was then passed down to my Mom and her kitchen. I grew up with that painting, those lemons — those were Mia’s.

Volume I was inspired by the light of a lemon for even the darkest hour. Volume II is cherishing that same light. My work with the Heaven Sent subject matter didn’t seem quite done yet, and I’m so grateful I listened to that voice that told me to keep going.

It led me here — back to my grandmother and her light. Back to her Italian roots where lemon trees run wild. Back to celebrating strong women — It’s how I started the year with Ready to Bloom, and it feels good to be ending it here, too.
