The Drawing Room

The Drawing Room is dedicated to the age old, familiar practice of drawing. It’s where every artist starts — learning to draw what they see, the way they see it. I was reawakened by the practice of drawing as I studied the careers of Henri Matisse and Richard Diebenkorn. Both artists were masters of painting and storytelling, and their bodies of work show a commitment to the power of line, the power of drawing.

My hope here is to bring these drawings to you, your homes, and that they remind you there is beauty to be found in the simplicity of life — similar to the beauty found in simplicity of line work.
